How to choose the right resume template.

The best resume template depends on your industry and where you are in your career. If you're applying through a large corporate employer or a role screened by an Applicant Tracking System first, pick an ATS Friendly template — a clean single-column layout with no graphics or tables that could confuse the parser.

If you're in a creative field like design, marketing, or media, a Creative or Modern template with more visual structure can help you stand out, as long as resumes at that company are reviewed manually rather than through automated screening.

Senior and executive candidates often do better with a Premium template — more whitespace and a stronger typographic hierarchy. Whichever style you choose, keep the content itself consistent: quantify your achievements, lead with impact, and keep it to one page unless you have 10+ years of relevant experience.

Template styles explained

Four moods, one goal — getting you the interview.

ATS Friendly

Single-column, no tables, no icons blocking text, predictable heading order. Built for roles at large companies where a bot reads your resume before a human does — banking, consulting, enterprise tech, government.

Modern

A light visual layer — subtle color accents, cleaner spacing, a sidebar for skills — while staying easy to parse. Works well for startups, product roles, and mid-size companies with a human-first hiring process.

Creative

More visual personality — bolder type, color blocks, unconventional section layouts. Best for design, marketing, media, and any role where the resume itself is a small portfolio piece.

Premium

Refined typography, generous whitespace, a layout that reads as well on paper as on screen. Designed for senior, executive, and board-level candidates where gravitas matters as much as content.

What's inside every template

More than a layout — a full editing system.

Flexible sections

Add, remove, or reorder Education, Experience, Skills, Projects, and Languages independently of the base layout — the template adapts to what you actually have to show.

Color & font variants

Every base layout ships in multiple color palettes and font pairings, so two people using the "same" template rarely end up with an identical-looking resume.

Live, instant preview

Switch templates mid-edit and see your actual content re-flow into the new layout immediately — no re-typing, no lost data, no guessing what it'll look like.

Template questions, answered.

Can I switch templates after I've started filling in my details?

Yes. Your content is stored separately from the layout, so switching templates re-flows the same data into the new design instantly — nothing is lost.

Do premium templates cost extra on top of a plan?

No. Templates are grouped by plan (Free, Lite, Pro) — once you're on a plan, every template within it is included with no per-template charge.

Are the templates mobile-responsive?

The builder itself works on mobile browsers, and every exported PDF is formatted for standard A4/Letter printing regardless of what device you built it on.

How many templates are actually different designs, vs color variants?

There are 6 distinct base layouts, each offered across multiple color and typography variants — so you're choosing a structure first, then a look, rather than scrolling through hundreds of near-identical options.
